Wireless Spark Plugs?

A friend of mine has a Nissan Altima. Not sure what year.
She mentioned that she has to replace the spark plugs at the next service, and that they are "Wireless."

I have never heard of wireless spark plugs. Can someone explain to me how they work please?

She likely means they are coil on plug, which means each individual plug has its own coil. There are no spark plug wires.
