miles to kilometers?

Has anyone figured out what causes the odometer to switch over from miles to ks? It began when miles reached 250000.

tanks.

Re: miles to kilometers?

Someone changed the default from miles to km, probably by accident. Read your owner's manual and see if it tells you how to switch back to miles.

Re: miles to kilometers?

Tanks Brian. Sorry to reply your reply so late.
I checked my owners manual and even the Chilton's Manual but can't find any info on it. I remember it changed over as soon as I replaced my radiator with a new one and connected those two wire harnesses there. Could this have created electrical surge or something? Someone said to change the speedometer cluster. Is this right?
Anyway, I'm getting used to having kilometers now. The speedometer does have a reading for both miles and Ks. Only the odometer and trip odometer read ks. 80 ks equal 50 miles.
