my car is breaking, im clueless and in desperate need of insight! Plz assist.

let my brother use my 06 camry, that was in marvelous condition might i add, while is at school and i come home to a whole hoopty literally screaming for help. There's a grinding noise coming from the front passenger wheel well when i accelerate and a ring about an 1 1/2 to 2 inches around just broke off. I think its the shock absorber lower insulator from the diagrams ive seen but i don't know because they're drawings not real pictures. The last problem i've discovered so far is that water is leaking into the car from the passenger side and when i say leaking it looks like someone let a garden hose run in my car for like 10 freaking minutes. Was told the water could be coming from my heater core by a friend who had the same problem. Ill be posting pictures tomorrow when i get the wheel off to take a look. I have little knowledge of cars so im all ears.

maybe he hit something like a curb or deep pothole and tweaked the cv joints, wheel bearing, or strut mount on that corner. a water leak on that side is also curious... check the body panel alignment around the door and the windshield fit.
