clinking noise as going over bumps
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to find a clinking noise when going over bumps. When the car is parked and jumping up and down on it, I can't reproduce it. Looking under the car, nothing looks broken or out of place. I'm thinking maybe it's the muffler. But all the rubber things are connected and don't look worn or broke or anything.
Does anyone know of a device that I could maybe put under the car where I suspect the tink is coming from and then drive and then I could hear if the tink is coming from the sensor (probably a microphone) or if it's far away. Then I could then try moving it until I put my microphone sensor close to what it is and then that would confirm I've found the tink? |

Re: clinking noise as going over bumps
Know this one well...its the emergency brale cable running over rear axle bouncing up and down. Rubber wears so you need to re-wrap it with more rubber!! Good Luck
