Time for them to put a new livery on this one since 16R is back.

Would love to see the Hollywood livery from the Brazil non-championship races reappear, or the FINA Presentation livery that this originally wore.

Yep agree this. Wasn't it #08R which wore that Presentation livery some point?
By the way where is #16R today...?

Yes, briefly 08R wore a slightly different variation of the FINA presentation livery.

16R has joined XP3, 053, 25R (when MSO finishes it) and quite likely 56XPGT as well in a Swiss collection.

Why would McLaren part with 56XPGT?

They parted with Ron Dennis too.

New management might not be quite so sentimental, was the impression I got.

Supposed to be one more of their 6 F1s that will be finding a new home as well.

Yeah, McLaren is no longer the same since Ron left.

Selling one (and now possibly a second) of those F1s has to be the worst way to raise capital if that is the reason. That makes a small dent in their annual budget for their road and F1 divisions and means nothing in the longrun.

Oh well...it was a cool company while it lasted. I can't say I feel bad at all with their current F1 woes given how they're treating their own history by selling it off like that.

It's sad the car will now be locked away in a garage likely never to be seen again unlike when it was at the factory making an occasional appearance. And given the strict driving laws in Switzerland, it will probably never get a chance to stretch its legs on the roadways. Maybe it will make an appearance every 10 years or so at a McLaren Owners Club.
