camry thought it was a boat

greetings car geeks. I am new to this forum and this is my first post.
We live in Midwest and with recent rains my daughter drove thru water and car died. will not turn over. I removed spark plugs and cleaned out cylinders (2 were filled with water). I took hair dryer to fuse box on side of fender well. Still no luck. Turn key, nothing. You do hear a faint click around fuse box area. I suspect starter and solenoid had gotten wet. Will this need to be removed and cleaned? Is there any thing else I can try?
Oh, by the way, car is 2005 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder.

thanks in advance

Did you try charging the battery?
Starter and solenoid need to be dry.
Drain the oil pan, transmission, differential if separate from transmission, and refill
Flush power steering system
I would put a small amount of oil through the plug holes, into the cylinders and turn the engine by the crank bolt to coat the cylinder walls and make sure the rings don't rust to the cylinder walls and stick. Bad juju.

Re: camry thought it was a boat

thanks for replying, Brian. my post might have been a little misleading. it wasn't a severe engine submerge. it was about 6 inches of water and my daughter didn't get stopped in time. I think the biggest culprit was the splash got engine wet and water hit the air dam just right to where it got sucked into the engine. only 2 cylinders had water in them. I vacuumed them out. squirting oil down those cylinders is a good idea. I'll do that today. I used jumper cables but that was when battery and posts were wet. I'll try that again now that they are dried off. I'll continue with the hair drier treatment on fusebox on fender well but may have to take starter and solenoid off to dry them as you suggested. I checked dipstick and oil does not appear contaminated. electrical system may just have to dry out a few days. We'll see. I'll post back if I get it going.
thanks again

Re: camry thought it was a boat

If you got water in the cylinders, you got some in the crankcase. Drain it. Cheap insurance.

Also you should have tried flushing water and dried it before making in ON
