From a detailers point of view they are absolutely beautiful vehicles to work on, and be around.
Owning, and maintaining one is a whole other story. One of my regulars (a Ferrari owner) is constantly complaining about the km's per gallon gas cost (stupid, what do you expect with such a large tank), and constant issues with the axle. Another poster rightly pointed out that these are not mass produced cars and accordingly repairs and maintenance in itself becomes a 'niche' pursuit. Moral of the story, admire, rent but do not buy!
