Mazda MX-5 RF

This is my newest project. The new Mazda MX5 from Tamiya.

It looks like a nice kit. Very good details and pretty much parts. Should be a fun build I hope.

It will be Lexus Mica Red.

The original wheels are very small. I'll be using Aoshima 19'' Advan RGIII wheels.

Since the original car is a very girly car in my opinion, i have to make it a bit more cooler. I recently bought a hardtop conversion set from Plamoz. It's very nice and just need some cutting on the Tamiya body.

Got the body painted. First Grey Primer followed by Red Base and Mica Red.

Re: Mazda MX-5 RF

First I added some carbon decals and others.

After that I clearcoated the body.

The wheels were painted Alclad Copper and I added the Advan decals.

Re: Mazda MX-5 RF

I also completed the Mazda body today. First I polished the paint and added the rubbertrims. After that I installed the clearparts.
