1965 Shelby GT350R Rally Car
New long term project for the New Year. I'm stalled on painting anything as I ordered myself a belated Christmas gift this week and bought a new Harder and Steenbeck airbrush and it has not arrived yet. So the new project is a car for my own personal bucket list. If ever given the opportunity I'd love to participate in a vintage rally race, most notably, the Peking to Paris rally run by http://www.endurorally.com/ . So with that in mind I'm building what would be my choice for a Classic rally car, even though it never was one.
Starting with Revell's 1/24 Shelby GT350R I will be converting it using pieces from the Part Bin and also some aftermarket goodies.] ![]() Wheels and tires from Fireball Modelworks. ![]() Seats from Hobby Design. ![]() ![]() And some 3D printed items from Shapeways along with some scratch built parts as well. Paint will likely be Ford Guardsman blue from Gravity Colors. ![]() Or maybe Viking Blue ![]() Not sure yet which I'll choose. |
