Compatible tires and wheels set for Tamiya's Morris Mini Cooper 1275s

Hi dears,

I'm looking for a set of wheels and tires, wider, compatible with this Tamiya kit:



The wheels of the original model were 10 inches. I would like to build this car with wide wheels.
Also, I take the opportunity to ask if anyone knows of the existence of some detailed set for this kit (PE and resin parts).

I used a set of Aoshima KAI parts SSR mesh. I cut some tyres and glued them together to fitt on the wheels. You have to make your own set cause anything on the market is too big for the mini. There isn't a grade up set for this kit btw.

I used tires from a celica GT-R and they fit well, but I had to scratch my own rims...
should see if I can find back some pics anywhere...

I have found photos of a conversion made for SLOT. The modeler has done a good job, he has used the wheels of a Scalextric F1 (1/32). Interestingly, the huge wheels of a 1/32 scale F1 coincide in size with the wheels of a Tamiya's Mini Cooper in 1/24 scale. It may seem crazy, but if scratch techniques adapt the Mini Cooper wheels to the F1 wheels, it could work.











The way to make the fender flares is one of the things that has impressed me the most.
