Re: Ford Escort RS1600 Mk1, Belkits, BEL007

Thanks to everybody for comments!
Kit is very nice and very easy to put together. It took me about 3 weeks all together to get it ready. Decal is very good as it is a Cartograf made. Metal stickers which are included is also very nice addition to the kit as well as photoetched parts. The only small troubles I had with rims which is quite hard to put into tyres and it was impossible to wash out chrome plating with regular method I used many times before, so I had to sand it off on auxiliary lamps, while other parts I decided not to touch and just paint places where part were held in sprue.

Those tyres are a drama to get on as I found them hard and they wouldn't just slip on like a normal kit.
I found that if you place the tyres in hot water for a few minutes they will become more pliable and then wet the rims with water that has a touch of dishwash liquid in it the tyres will slip straight on.
