REPSOL Honda RC213V 2012 Casey Stoner (Late Season)

I've completed the last machine of retired Casey Stoner.

I love this bike and this livery so much, so when Tamiya released the plastic kit, I've been wanting to do this.

Then K'S WORKSHOP released the 2013 Marquez bike trans kit!

so I started it 3 months ago. Here's the result, hope you enjoy it!

Thank you!

Amazing! I can't believe all the little details. Love the alligator clip (or whatever you call it) on the front wheel.

Re: REPSOL Honda RC213V 2012 Casey Stoner (Late Season)

hello, nice kit. Really beautiful and well detailed.
But I did not understand if you have used the tk ks without making changes, or you have made. I seem to see the different tank from tk ks.
since I have a set of decals of cgm more I'd like it to me but first I would like to understand if there are changes to make, and which (apart from discharges which are the type honda 2006).
thank you

I did make some modifications since there are a lot of differences between 2012 Casey's bike and 2013 Marquez' bike(based on 2012 Dani's one).

just did some comparison pictures: please take a look, thanks!

Absolutely beautiful work and photos, your models are my go to reference for
these bikes
one question, I've wondered about the Repsol colors, it looks like the rim color is different
from the orange on the Repsol logo, but the instructions in the Tamiya kits say to paint them the same colors. what do you use for these?
thanks
Paul

I painted the body and the wheels with the same fluorescent orange.

due to there's less light on the wheels, they look just deeper but they're actually the same color.

thanks

Re: REPSOL Honda RC213V 2012 Casey Stoner (Late Season)

thank you, well done explanations and very nice photos. I took even I tk ks for 2013, however, before it ruins the tk tank wanted to try to change the Tamiya. the forks and the chain registers from where did you get these? I have the tk of CGM for the 2012 but it seems smaller than the tamiya so do not know if it's okay to take the pieces from that.
for discharges I think they go well even those of 2006 or take them from tk max motomodeling of 2011, unfortunate that top studio does the turned exhaust that would be very nice. those for 2013 are not good or we should try to change the final part.
Hello and thanks

Hello and thanks
Dear dany80

The fork is from 2013 KS trans kit, and the chain registers are from some max moto RC213V trans kit.
I just search for anything I can use for this bike, so there are many parts from different kits, thank you.

Regards,
Lu

Firstly - incredible piece of work. the fact that you've taken the trouble to source parts from various kits to make it as accurate as possible is even more impressive.

To add weight to your reply - The orange of the wheels has always matched the cowling tone, in photography the colour has always looked darker which leads to the misconception that you should use a different paint to the cowlings. Tamiya have done this on several Repsol kits over the years. I'm currently correcting the 2003 Rossi kit using the new Zero 2014 paint and decals from various sources to get the correct look.
