windstar 2000 Driver side axle

Is axle part no. XF2Z3B437AB (left axle shaft windstar 2000) interchangeable with 12Z3B437AA (left axle shaft windstar 2001-2003)

I checked the buyer's guide data on RockAuto, and it shows that the left side shaft is good for model year 1999-2003, while the right one uses a different part for 1999-2000 than 2001-2003.
