'90 Aerostar broken windshield problem
I have a 1990 Ford Aerostar that a branch fell on and broke the windshield. It only has liability insurance on it. Can anyone suggest the cheapest way to replace the windshield? Are there any videos or/and threads about how to do it yourself, and how to find the best price on the replacement?
Thank you for any help! David Buford, GA |

Re: '90 Aerostar broken windshield problem
Some states have laws that the insurance company, no matter how basic the coverage, must pay for a new windshield. I don't know what Georgia has.
If that is not the case for you, the cheapest route is a junkyard and a used windshield. Many will install it for you or have a contact to do it. Then the commercial installers with a new windshield. You can call around and get estimates from them. |
