Battery Tray
Ok I have done some extensive research and came up with nothing. I need to replace my battery tray in my 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GT 3.8, I have a new OEM tray and my question is . Is this a straightforward process of remove bolts and bolting back in? I read somewhere that it has to be welded in and I don't believe that for a second. My new tray has holes which I'm sure is for the bolts to tighten it down. I don't want to wrestle the battery out yet to check before checking with these forums. Thanks.

Re: Battery Tray
No way is it welded.....just remove the battery, you will find the fasteners....

Re: Battery Tray
Got it installed yesterday, the bolts were a pita to back out and the area was so disintegrated. We couldn't reuse any of the bolts. We had the same size bolts laying around and could only use three to tighten and stabilize the tray but it's tight . Thanks again for the help.
