Harley trike

A long time ago I started on this built.
As donor kit I'm using an old Imai harley Road King.



At the moment I have some kind of a rolling chassis.

For the front end I used a SUZUKI Hayabusa upside down fork but this will probably be replaced by alluminium turned forks.
The PE brake discs are from hobby design and intended to use with a Kawasaki ZZR1400 model.

Most of the rear end was scratch build using alluminium and plastic sheet.
Most of them will be replaced in the end for better detailed parts .
The wheels are from a Revell 1/12 Corvette but will also be machined later on.

The primary drive will be an open belt drive. Things to do are milling some pulleys and scratching a belt.



And still a lot of other things.










At the moment I'm working on the engine removing the nuts and bolts and replacing them with some metal ones. I also made some metal push rods.
I'll be soon posting some pictures .

These are the ones from the minituning set, but I find them a bit rough.
I will be milling them in alluminium.

Ok, they definitely look nicer than mine from the same source... I'll see what to do about mine as I will do belt drive for secondary drive as well.

Definitely a very cool project. I like the scratchbuilt parts. Is the primary cover milled and engraved on CNC?

Yes it was. I used a Sherline CNC mill for this.

At last some minor updates. It's been a while due to different circumstances.

Anyway, I fitted the two halves of the gastank together as one and painted a few coats of gloss black. After this I added some orange striping with the use of decals. The tank lid was machined and engraved. The harley skull will be filled with paint later on.
The tank still should be given a few coats of clear.






The engine and transmission were also painted, drybrushed and detailed using alluminum nuts and bolts. The push rods were replaced by metal ones made of albion alloy.






It will be a slow and long built but I'll try to put some updates now and then.

Great to see it coming along! And really funny to see that you've chosed an inversed color scheme from what I'm planning for on my chopper :-)
Engine looks really great, those rods turned out super and that engraving...stunning work.

Excellent finish on the engine and fuel tank. Did u machine all those nuts and bolts or bought them?
