Hello All!
I have searched this forum, but can't find an answer to my specific problem, though I have read some good info that may help me if this post doesn't garner a detailed reply that can help me. I replaced a bad MAF Sensor on my 2002 Windstar today. Immediately afterwards, I noticed the horn button in my steering wheel no longer worked, nor does the Cruise Control. All other electrical functions related to the steering were not affected. The horn works using the remote key control, but not with the button in the steering wheel. In fact, the steering wheel button doesn't exhibit the same resistance to pressure as it did before this happened. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! |

Re: Changed MAF Sensor, now horn & CC don't work - 2002 Windstar
It may not be related, but did you unplug the SCDS when you removed the air duct? And do you have the updated version that doesn't leak brake fluid?

Re: Changed MAF Sensor, now horn & CC don't work - 2002 Windstar
Well, it seems I partially disconnected the connector on the Cruise Control Servo when I was replacing the MAF Sensor. Since they share a ground through that connector, neither worked when the connector was partially disconnected. I reconnected it, and all is well.
Oh, and, yes - I have had had the recall work done on it that you mentioned. THANKS! |
