Play in steering 03 Impala

Hi I have play in my steering on an 03 Impala after dropping the sub frame a bit so I could remove the harmonic balancer. I disconnected the intermediate shaft from the stub shaft....any ideas?

Have someone move the steering wheel back and forth while you observe the intermediate shaft from the stub shaft connection.

Re: Play in steering 03 Impala

cant find anyone for tomorrow so I am going to use a bungee to hold up the boot and a digital camera on a small tripod. I am thinking it might be the raq joint of the intermediate shaft so I am going to also add audio queues for when I turn the wheel. I found this adjustment for removing play if it is the rack.
