1994 Suburban rear air blower
I have a 1994 Suburban 1500, 350 2wd. Rear air stopped working so I checked voltage at motor and had voltage, so I replaced the blower. Still did not work. Tested voltage again and had voltage with motor unwired. then I wired the motor and had no voltage. Ran a new ground from frame and had the same results. Ran a hot wire from battery and fan runs. I also replaced the resister with no results. Checked the fuse. It has a 5 amp fuse. I would have thought it should be bigger but I changed the fuse anyway but got no positive results. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,Tim |

Re: 1994 Suburban rear air blower
I'm looking at my '98 manual, so your '94 is probably different. With that said, the 5a fuse is for the control circuit for the 3 relays that control the fan speed. The main power for the fan, thru the relays, is the 50a underhood "BLOWER" fuse that also powers the front blower.
Again this is out of a '98 book. Hope it helps.
