Injen Air filter noise

I bought an Injen universal air filter for my 04 Accord DX since my old housing cracked. It came by itself with a clamp but fits snugly inside the OE rubber hose, the clamp wasn't big enough to fit around the hose and doesn't seem like it would help too much. Air doesn't seem to be coming in from around the hose since its a tight fit, but the filter makes this annoying loud constant low beep noise. Injen customer service told me the noise was maybe because the filter is supposed to be clamped onto a metal hose, but it didn't say that in the product description, and doesn't make sense to me. Anyone know if this noise is normal with some filters or also if the way i have it installed is normal for some filters?
