shifter,when transmission won't engage

i've got an accord 4 cylinder with an automatic transmission that does not engage any of the other gears when i shift it out of park. all indicator lights are out except for the park position on the dash. can anybody help me out with this

I do not have much knowledge about transmissions but I would check all the grounds for starters as well as the conditions of ATF (color, fluid level).

Provide more information about your car: year, mileage, service history. Other people may chime in as well.
