Well sated leaf - I concur with what you have written.

Paul - you make a good point, but sometimes when detail parts are made by another "jobber" then you do not always have the cash flow to float the refund back to the buyer, while you try to get the money from the "jobber"
many people who make detail parts for sellers want money up front or at least a down payment for the items to be made, so there is a need for start up capital
