The book says to bleed the combination valve on my 1991 c1500 so I made a tool to push in the valve stem. Now the stem sticks out much further than before. Did I brake it? I replaced my master cylinder and now when I apply the brakes air is pushed into it. Bad master?

Re: resetting a Brake Proportioning valve?
How did you bleed your master I would try a vacuum bleed. I've also used a pump oil can used only for brake fluid as oil will contaminate the fluid. A small hose to push on the bleed screw and pump fluid. You need to get the air out. You could also google Chevy C-10 brake proportioning valve 1991.
