SMS clear carbon fibre decals

Hi all,

I'm working on a 1/12 McLaren MP4/6 and it calls for coloured carbon fibre in yellow/orange. I can either buy the coloured CF decals or paint the part in the required colour and use clear CF decals.

I've seen SMS have clear carbon fibre decals but before I go ahead and buy I wanted to see if anyone has used the clear decals and has some close up photos of how they look over colour paint? A link to any WIP or Finished builds would be excellent.

Hey heres some of what ive done with it, its a great decal film!
Mine are 1:24th scale & painted black. not sure how it will look over colours, as the decal is only white triangles.
FXX - on the radiator ducts in front of rear wheels

So just to confirm the decal is clear with white patterns rather than clear with black patterns?

Id say more silver on clear but yes lots of little triangles
