Air Bag Warning Light Flashes

Maybe this isn't an issue.

I noticed the other day that when the key is turned to the proving circuit position, in addition to the warning lights on the dash illuminating, the air bag light comes on and flashes.

When the key is turned to start and released, the warning lights go out, and the air bag light flashes four of five times then goes out.

I've owned the van so long now that I'm beginning to see things that are there, but may have always been there and are quite normal.

Anyone?

This is a normal condition, SIR self test. If the light stays on solid after the flashes, then you have a problem. Will do this every time you start it.

Like GMTech1 says, every time you turn key to on, the light will flash 7 times and go out....this is normal....if it flashes 7 times and then stays on, then a code is set and you have a problem...
