4T65E transmission swap
Will any 4T65E transmission work in a 2001 Buick Century?

Re: 4T65E transmission swap
I believe the mounts may be different, also the axles are larger, really don't need that in that car.

Re: 4T65E transmission swap
Is there a year range that they are the same? I have seen a couple 2002 transmissions for sale. I also considered buying a rebuild kit and new solenoids and having a shop rebuild it. I would rebuild it, but don't have a place to do it or all the tools I might need. One place quoted me $350 for labor to take out and put another in, I am thinking rebuild labor could go a lot higher.

Re: 4T65E transmission swap
The Century was never built with a 65 series trans. A salvage yard would have the info as to what year units will fit your car.

Re: 4T65E transmission swap
By 65 series do you mean the 65 in 4T65E? The Century did use that trans from 2000 on.
