96 Cam LE 4-cyl front strut mounts

Some of you might remember my conversation from a ways back...needed help with a front struts installation gone bad. I bought Monroe strut assemblies and Mevotech mounts from Rock Auto. It's been 20k now and the mounts have broken apart. Some people around here drive a n y t h i n g across the lava fields--I'm just a little 'ol lady, drive like one, stay on paved roads (albeit the roads here in West Hawaii are generally pretty bad), and my mounts break--ha ha. I need to buy more mount assemblies & get them installed at a shop. Any recommendations for decent mounts from another manufacturer that I can get discounted online? Does any manufacturer's mount assembly work with another manufacturer's strut assembly? Thanks for any recommendations you can make. Bye the way, the best thing Napa here has to offer is Ultram for $82 + shipping from Oahu (or another for $88 under their own brand). Thanks again.

I would trust the best NAPA parts. I don't know if that is a bad price for you or not. Amazon.com has good prices, but I don't know much about brands of strut mounts to recommend one.

Thanks for your comment, Brian.

You know, I reviewed the parts purchase I made initially and realize that I may very well have not gotten new bearings along with the strut assemblies and mounts/plates. I might've caused myself this chronic problem in the suspension. I don't recall the mechanic who did the initial installation mentioning it, nor the next mechanic who put on the replacement mount for the one that came out of the first shop broken... Rock Auto has the same Mevotech part & number and it does not include a bearing. I think I'm just going to get the plates with bearings by the same manufacturer as the strut assemblies (Monroe).
