GM Tech II

I've got a Tech II that has pre-production sw ver. 626.150 on it. I was having it updated to the current version thru a dealer but he didn't want to update in fear of incompatibility. ?? Saying something about a high speed wireless interface they now use with the tech II.

Does anybody have any info on this? Any concerns?

Where can I get this updated if the dealer won't do it?

The real one takes more than $2K, the clone one $300+, but the clone one works no problem. Functions stable in storing DTCs, Freeze Frame, and failure Record etc.

The device is compatible with 6 software options, mine is English Saab version.
The device came with 32 mb card, tis 2000 CD, Candi and other cables, make sure all of these are included in the package.

If your is clone, please do not try to update.

Thanks for the info, I'd rather not spend money on a clone when all I need is to have it updated. I still don't know where to get it updated.
