Instrument panel goes crazy

I own a 2000 Focus lately the speedometer, fuel, battery, needles, jump to max position then drop to zero, then jump back to normal for a few seconds as I drive. Also, all the warning lights, (battery, brake, engine and
ABS) flash on and off as well. started out doing this as I would accelerate from a stop, the needles would go clear over to max, then drop to zero then go back to normal, now it does it all the time. Also there is a snapping or "popping" sound like static coming from the radio speakers. Nothing else seems to be affected by this. I have a few ideas on what this could be but frankly, I don't trust anybody in my area to be able to fix it, only someone highly versed in electrical problems might be able to, but sadly no one around with that kind of skill, any ideas?
