dude so the suspension is out in my 96 continental spinnaker edition. so its been sitting til i save money for a conversion kit. my apartments wanted the car out of their parking lot because its leaning so we had a tow guy move the car. he switched gears when the car was off, now my key wont come out of the ignition. WHAT DID HE DO.

Re: I think the tow guy broke my spinnaker!
Does the key rotate back all the way to the locked position?
If not, did he step on the brake pedal when moving the gear shift lever? The lever is not supposed to move unless the ignition key is turned on (then engine does not have to be running) AND the brake pedal is depressed. If he did not do both, there may be something bent or jammed in the column. If it does rotate all the way to 'locked', .............in my experience, older Ford ignition key cylinders can have problems releasing the key when they are supposed to, I think, due to a worn key. You simply have to wiggle the key around a bit while trying to gently shake it loose. |
