Completed: 1/24th Belkits Ford Fiesta WRC “Ken Block”
Well you wait for ages then two come along at once!
This is the new(ish) Fiesta kit from Belkits, with Colarado Ken Block (ADAC Rallye Deutschland 2011). Apart from the decals I built it out of the box. The kit fits together really well but, being a new company, there seem to be a few compromises, such as glue-on wheels, no poseable steering, and some of the moulded details are a little heavy, or non-existent. The suspension particularly had a couple of errors with location pins in the wrong place. On the plus side there are two small sheets of photo-etch for seat belts, body fasteners, seat brackets and grill mesh. The decal job was a challenge. The base coat is white and everything else is decal, including 1-piece down each side (I cut those in to sections). Some didn’t fully cover the areas they were supposed to, but Colorado provided some fill-in patches, and they reacted ok to MicroSol/Set, but I did have to resort to Tameo super-strong in some of the more compound-curved areas. The white text along the rear wing is missing too. If anyone is thinking of using this set on this kit then PM me, I have some tips for you! Anyhow in the end it’s well proportioned, looks like what it’s meant to, feels solid, and it’s nice that at least one manufacturer is covering the modern WRC…

Superb result, I'm happy to see one built as of course as a Deutschland rally collector I have this to build !!
 I'm aware to any good advices !!  perfect fit of the decals, knowing colorado issues, was my main fear...

Really nice build! If the Colorado decals are just as non-fitting as the 2012 Ken Block version I'm currently building you made an extremely good job of it!
