05 F-150 5.4 timing jumped
Hello everyone today I was working on ford f150 customer towed car into the shop where I work with no start condition and broken valve cover on right bank. I removed both valve covers, timing cover and I find completely destroyed chain guide. I set timing on marks and right bank camshaft jumped 180'. Does anyone had this problem before? Should I pull head or install a new timing components and then check compression? Customer don't want to spent much money on it and if valves are damaged he might not fix it.
