Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren 722 Edition

Hi all,

It has been gone a very long time since my last modell presented here on the forum. In the last period of time I did mainly modellplanes.

Here is my SLR. The body is painted with Tamiya Mica Silver and the gloss is from Gunze (GX 100 super clear). Little extras was used like SMS Twill carbon fiber decal, textile material for the seat belts and buckles from an Eduard set.
Only diseppointment are the decals, I lost 3 of them because they broke in many parts. 2 of them (Mercedes Benz Stars) are replaced from my SLS kit.

Here ist the modell and I hope you like it. Sorry for the pictures and dust on the modell, because of polishing the modell is like a magnet!

Nice model! If you use something like this as a final wipe and polish it will get rid of the static electric build-up on your model.

Looks great. What did you do to get the Mica silver so fine? It looks a little more flaky when I've used it. Your paint almost looks like gloss aluminum.

Maybe is a diference if you spray direct from the spray can of decanted and sprayed by airbrush. I sprayed by airbrush. In my opinion, the color is perfect for my SLR.
