92 Brake Master Clyinder

92 Regal Custom, 3.8L

I need to replace master cylinder on mother in laws car. How do I determine if it has the Durastop brake system or not?? Any factory code in glove box or trunk, if so what is the code to look for?

thanks

Ha, ha.....

All Durastop is, is a GM brand name for their brake parts....it is not a brake system....

OEM, or "original" GM parts are expensive.....to compete in the open market, GM has Durastop parts, which cost less than the OEM parts.....quality is not the same, but they are as good or better than competing aftermarket pads/shoes.....

You either have an ABS brake system, or a non ABS brake system....either one uses the same M/C.....but your parts store should know this....

Thanks Tech II, that helps a lot. The Orielly's website asks if it has the Durastop system is why I asked. Learn something everyday.
