I am not SURE about anything. I am quite sure though that for some reason Nissan uses either the Bxx or the Nxx designation for Sentra platforms almost at will. Quote:
1. N(x+1) production dates are same as B(x) dates. 2. I have a N14 Sunny 2.0 GTi and Nissan FSMs for both the B13 Sentra and the N14 Sunny. They are almost identical. Only differences I found (until now) were on the emmission stuff and small such in the suspension rates. 3. Family has an N15 Almera 1600 and Nissan FSMs for both the B14 Sentra and the N15 Almera. Same story, almost identical. 4. All aftermarket parts I am aware of (including suspension and bracing) and several OEM chassis parts are interchangeable between B13/N14. Same fro B14/N15. 5. The NX went to the States as B13 and in Europe as N14. This is a nice indicator since there were no sub-models etc. Just 1.6 and 2.0liter NXs using either B13 or N14. 6. Finally, I have stumbled upon various sub-designations about chasses and even those are almost identical between these two platforms. Examples I have found: N14, FN14, FNN14, EN14, HN14, SN14, RNN14 B13, FB13, FNB13, EB13, HB13, SB13, ?????? N15, FN15, FNN15, EN15, HN15, HNN15, SN15, SNN15, JN15 B14, FB14, FNB14, EB14, HB14, ??????, SB14, SNB14, ???? Not only that but with the exception of the Sentra designation in the US, Sunny and Pulsar seem to be the names of choice for all the aforementioned models around the world. For example we have Sunnys using the B13, N14 and B14 platforms (N15 as far as I know appears only as Almera and Pulsar). In any case, if you know otherwise I will be more than glad to be corrected. I look forward to a major "investment" in suspension/chassis aftermarket parts the States and I will definitely need to know any difrences there might be. Chris |

Anyway, probably in 3 weeks. I'm not sure though. I will probably be in SA soon. I have to go there for a photo shoot.

So in order of importance I will get... Rear STB (probably from Whiteline Australia) N-Tech Under brace Rear Sway-Adjustable Front Sway adjustable (not needed but what the heck) Shortened coilovers all around + GC Camber/Caster plates CAI-Headers-Exhaust S3_JWT ECU (maybe)... Excluding the Exhaust, all the rest have to come from the US or AU. Particularly in the coilover issue I am always open to suggestions. I never figured out whether the cost of shortened struts is justified over the KONI-GC combo I already have... Take care and do not stress your brain too much! It's all downhill from here on (at least that's what physiology says). Chris |
