Wiring cig lighter for 88 Ford Ranger
I bought a new cig lighter for my Ranger, thinking that I would just unplug the old one and plug the new one in, but when I pulled the old one it wasn't plugged in at all, and had no wires coming off of it, and when I looked at the fuse box and the wires going to it I couldn't find a the connectors for the lighter. I need help with this, please.

Re: Wiring cig lighter for 88 Ford Ranger
Just tap into a hot wire, normally red. It will go to the center connector on the lighter. Then a good ground, to the outer shell of the lighter. You can stick an inline fuse then you don't have to screw with the fuse block. If you don't own a voltmeter or unfamiliar with electrical stuff, find a buddy who is. Old one may be good since is wasn't connected.
