Nissan GT-R

Today I made some final pics of the Fujimi Nissan GT-R.

First some indoor shots:

and also some outdoor shots to show the nice color.

I know it are a lot of pics but I wanted to show them all

I really enjoyed building this kit. I think it's one of the best GT-r kits and it has really nice details. Especially the chassis and interior are awesome.

The nice HobbyDesign PE set fitts nice on the Fujimi kit, while it was made for the Tamiya version. It really added some nice details on the model.

I only had problems with the bodyparts which I painted Gun Metal. These parts have no glue surfaces so it's hard to glue them on the body. Mine already felt off, so I have some minor gluespots on the body. There are some spots that I don't like on the model but most of them are not vissible untill you know it

Altough I'm pretty happy with the result. The color is one of my favorits Thanks Tamiya

Here's a short list with accesoires and modifications I did.

- full PE detail set from Hobby Design
- modelbrouwers blue interiorflocking
- chassis weatherd
- iPod on dashboard
- Sony radioface

Kris.

Glad to see another fierce looking car you got there! Did you end up painting those wheels?

Re: Nissan GT-R

very well done , the blue especially is very nice

thanks for pointing out the gun metal part tricky assembly, will take note

but why didnt u use the original metal transfer nissan logo on the rear? the PE's nissan logo looks abit flat and the circle looks abit thick

There is nothing wrong with the PE nissan logo's, and I lost the metal transfer while I was adding it to the body So I had no other choise.

No I did nothing with the wheels. Fujimi has added a nice color on it, and I think the wheels looks good on the bodycolor now It's something different.

Re: Nissan GT-R

Excellent build, I like the body color and the shine is fantastic. I assume the rims look a bit undersized (at least to me), but it is the kit itself. Congrats!

Re: Nissan GT-R

That looks nice, what tamiya color is that? My Fujimi GT-R is being a major PITB. I'm going for my 4th repaint of the rear bumper. I keep burning the paint in some spot. I'm just having problems with it everywhere. What I did on the lowerbody part was to tack them in place with CA and then go on the back side and cover the two with epoxy all around

Yes I also have done that with the lower bodyparts after 3 times.

The Tamiya Color is Pearl Blue. In my W.I.P. topic you can see the spraycan on the first page.

Re: Nissan GT-R

I know this is an old topic but did you spray the Tamiya pearl blue over a dark base coat or was it just over grey primer? I tried searching your WIP thread but I couldn't find it. Brilliant finish.

There's a wip of this model in the wip section. I painted the tamiya paint straight on top of the grey tamiya primer.
