BMW316i compact

Dragon kit, Tamiya paint, I think was Bare Metal Silver, other then that, not much to say.

Love it!!

My wife has one of these, which she just adores. (Actually a 318ti, which is the same car with a slightly less anemic engine.) I have this kit to build if it.

A couple of minor points- the raised surrounds on both the side turn signals and the door handles are black on the "full sized" version.

This kit is so wrong in proportion and detail, it actually looks like a different car.
You did a good job on it.

Alex, are you sure toy are talking about the compact and not the Coupe?
I dont think this bodystyle was available in the US.

Most definitely available, and loved by enthusiasts. This was the very last small car the BMW sold in the US, and the last 4 cylinder engine sold here also. By the time BMW was making the E46 compact, they had decided that "small and fun" was not the image that BMW wanted to sell to here. So they started making Minis.
