SERIOUSLY OT: Calling all chicks! IT'S PART 6!!

Thank God for my inherent need for organization. I keep a pdf owners manual for pretty much every thing I or my parents own. I've got one for our 20 year old weed wacker, , my surround sound, car deck, lawnmower engine, my grandmothers old blood pressure machine that she hasn't used in 3 years, and our snow blower. Guess which one I was in dire need of today?

Probably the blood pressure machine... but of course it was the damn snow blower one. Got a foot of snow since 7 or 8am, and it's still coming down. We've been getting bitch storms all season so far, so I've just been using the shovel and haven't touched the damn thing. But it took me 10 minutes to figure out where I had to set the choke and "accelerator lever" (the thing with the turtle and the rabbit). 30 seconds of looking at the manual, and I was able to get it started on the first try.

Fuck snow!

Speaking of, it was 0 degrees when I woke up. Forecast calls for snow.. but it says their weather models were inaccurate for what is happening in the weather system and they don't actually know how much snow to expect.... At least they didn't lie like they normally do.

Damn, I wish I was female. I'd be so much easier to get vagina, and I'd have boobs to play with.

Strange though... My mom just told me today that they didn't know what sex I was before I was born, to have a surprise I suppose. And that through her entire pregnancy she had a strong feeling that I was going to be a girl. That was the 2nd surprise. The 1st was that she was pregnant at all, because I was apparently what my friend and I refer to as an "oops baby".

Decided to spend some $ and get some decent beer tonight, rather than my usual cheap beer routine. Went to the grocery store, looked around for a while, and saw some Samuel Adams Rebel IPA. I've had some good Sam Adams, and I've had some downright disgusting Sam Adams (I'm looking at you Imperial White), so I didn't have very high hopes. But I figured, how can a big company fuck up an IPA, I mean it's not like this is MillerCoors or Anheuser-Busch.

I'm glad I tried it, because it's actually pretty good. It's a typical citrus/grapefruit flavored Cascade and Centennial hops, mixed with some piney hops. Similar to most IPAs out there (Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA being my favorite so far). But this was one of the least expensive of those types that I have found, maybe a little more than Third Shift Amber Lager (MillerCoors product), at $14.99 for a 12-pack ($16.79 with $.05 bottle return and $.08 sales tax). Compared to $10.99 for a 6-pack of Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA. It's also 6.5% alcohol, compared to 6% from the 60 minute IPA, which is a slight bonus that makes it even more worth it to me.

Really the only problem with it I see is their blatant marketing to hipsters. Along with their lame ass tag line (clearly created by people in their 50's & 60's in an attempt to be "hip") of "brewed for the revolution", the beer tap handles for it are of a fake spray paint can, that matches the artwork of the bottles and boxes. This:


Red background with white splooge (or possibly white spray paint?) They simply tried too hard, and their marketing teem clearly missed the mark...except it actually probably helped to increase sales in Portland.
