What to do with the old car tyre after replacement?

I'm getting one of my front tyre replaced tomorrow. What do people normally do with their old tyres after a new tyre has been fitted?

Do I keep it, dispose it or? I'm asking this because I'm not sure whether the old tyre is worth keeping.

I would have been sold it off as scrap to have an hamburger.
