The maplight on the passenger side of the mirror will not turn off, the switch is broken. I cannot see how to unclip the harness from the back of the mirror nor can i tell how to release the mirror from the windshield.
Seems a simple thing is a pain now. Or i can just unplug the fuse, but I cant tell which one it is grrrrrr. Anyone who has done this please chime in ...... thanks !

Re: 99 Regal rearview mirror repair
There is a cover on the back for the harness, that may be in your way. The connector should just unplug from the back of the mirror. The mirror can be removed from the mount be releasing the retainer at the base with a small screwdriver. It's kind of pain. Easier to do than to describe how to.

Update : I found a "manual" mirror on Ebay and I like it better actually, same plug in and map lights. About 6 weeks later it broke too.

Re: 99 Regal rearview mirror repair
There is a plastic cover you must pop off to reveal the connector. It hides the wires.
