For me? This was the early days. This was before may of the laws that are in place today. White the site was an American operated site, it was hosted overseas. Meaning I [eventually] got off Scott free.

Being smart, I retied. I decided that while I had a passion for this, it would not lead to good in my current state. Up and left everything related to computers. - As advised.

So, first major blip avoided; mostly by luck.

The second of my legal troubles would follow.

Remember the days of ebay? Not the ebay we we know it today, but the early days of internet auctions.

Well following the days of the computer modding I discovers internet auctions.

Don't get me wrong, I was not set out to rip off people. At all.

While not "mastermind"ing this, I quickly discovered that people were selling Electric Turbo/Superchargers. What they were selling were bilge pumps, what I could manufacture was a 12v fan in a piece of PCV pipe. Enter second lawsuit before I was even 18 years old.

seeing these 'electric turbos' sell for upwards of $150 I wanted in on the action. My first order I purchased a few hundred 12v computer fans, and 10 feet of 3" pcv pipe from the local hardware store. Made a few thousand dollars in the weeks following.

In fact, I made so much that the person that owns the patent on the electronic supercharger noticed.....

Within a few weeks and less than $100 invested, I had made thousands.

At this point I am served with a Cease and Desist order. As well as a lawsuit for patent infringement.

I was a Sophomore in high school, in DECA/marketing class (the class you have to take in order to get a Job and be released from school early every day to go work). We had to give a presentation on information we had learned from real world economics that we would not have learned in class.

I gave a speech on copy wright infringement, and summed up a very light insight on how I was currently being sued for $14,000 because I stole someones design- because I could manufacture it cheaper and more efficiently.
