Well, along the lines I had discovered a code that would basically replicate the forums within itself. So wen you clicked on a thread topic it would load infinity. Big spoiler in the days when bandwidth actually mattered.

I corresponded with all available parties. And a strike was commissioned.

unanimously we started posting said code to every thread within the forum. Meaning anytime anyone went to load any thread on the first few pages of the forum it would indefinatly replicate itself within itself indefinably.

I was up what seemed like days as mayhem ensued. I think I skipped a few days of school to watch this all unfold, mass chaos soon ensued, some posts made it through, others just got lost in the bogged down system using all of its bandwidth.

I can't recall weather these days were good, bad, thrilling, or exciting. I'm guessing based on my track record that they were exciting based with a little bit of bad. There was no shielding of who had done this. I was blatantly guilty. No disguising it.

At this point, I would like to toss out some respect to the real hackers of the day. People who actually knew what they were doing, and not just punks like myself exploiting security protocols.

Within hours, a forum and website with thousands of devoted followers was brought down to its knees.

Not being a total asshole, I actually provided admin with the information they needed to restore service. All advice was ignored. Outages lasted weeks.

All landed on a deaf ear.

Now, being young I did not fully realize the consequences of what I had done.

I was named as "mastermind" of all the chaos that had happened in this attack. While not a hacker, I was labeled one. I was not a pro, but I got thrown into the game with the wolves.

In the following months, I grew up very quickly, as I was a defendant in an insueing lawsuit. This would not be the first.

While early in my high school career, I was tied up in a lawsuit for bringing down a very predominate internet forum, site, and associated attributes.
