Audi R10 TDI

Revell's Audi R10 TDI kit

This is my first serious attempt at scratchbuilding. The original Revell was basic and missing many major components.

Scratchbuilt components include exhaust and turbocharger/intercooler parts, air intake filters, rear suspension torsion bars and shock absorbers, fuel injection lines, e-boxes and wiring, inner bodywork around the rear wheels, seatbelts and lots of carbon decal.

The model was coloured in Tamiya Silver spray paint and Tamiya Red, Yellow and Medium Gray.

I think it took me a year to finish it. I love the look of this car and the original R8. Audi's recent prototype's just don't look right.

It was windy in my apartment, that is why the antenna is bent.

Re: Audi R10 TDI

Great job on taking the rather basic kit engine bay and making it look very detailed indeed! Rest of the model looks great too.
