I enjoyed that one..!! GREAT build. A true classic car.. No matter where the car originated from, it's still a splendid car to look at, and your build does the car complete justice.

The E Type is one of my all time classic cars, and your build has just reminded me of how much I love the car, it looks so true to form, and your hard work on this has truly paid off..

As far as I remember, I bought the kit more than 10 years ago when Revell reissue it, and I just finished 100% of the planned upgrading jobs. The model is built to represent the Jaguar E-type (UK version circa 1964 before the seatbelt became mandatory).

You don't get to see a completed Revell XKE kit very often, so enjoy.

The bonnet of the kit is hinged, and I didn't have to modify it at all.

The most common way to upgrade wheels is to use photoetched parts, but we know they aren't really accurate. The only way to solve the problem is to lace it yourself, and here's my result. It took me five wheels to feel comfortable with my work, then I made another four, making a total of nine!

The steering rack is completely scratchbuilt.

Some of the scratchbuilt parts include the SU carburetters, throttle link-bars, brake and clutch muster cylinders, brake servo, reservoir tanks and fuel filter.
Hiro,

Saw a reference to your RMG '63 Jag. I am thinking about building oneand wanted to see your pics. When I click the links on autoforums, it won't allow access. I am new to this site. Do I need to get permission or something?

Thank you,

Jeff

Re: Finished: Revell 1/25 Jaguar E-Type Roadster

Photos were originally uploaded to AF's own gallery, but I think it's dead now.
I reuploaded photos to Photobucket, and updated the links, so you should be able to see them now.
