Re: 15 Most Dangerous Driving Cities

Should have counted Beijing in. Drives become mad when they are trapped in a traffic jam for 2~3 hours. lol

Re: 15 Most Dangerous Driving Cities

That's surprising, I was expecting NY and LA to be in the top five.

Speaking from my personal experience few countries with extremely bad driving conditions and roads/highways are Bolivia, India, Bangladesh and Egypt. You literally see cows, goats, sheep and all kinds of farm animals roaming around the streets all by themselves. Then comes the rickshaws, not to mention the noisy three wheelers "tuk tuks"who are 24/7 racing with every other vehicle on the street. Limit less motorbikes and then add to that an immense number of buses and heavy duty trucks/lorries which easily out numbers the cars/suvs on the roads. Now imagine all this on a two way expressway not more then 30 feet wide or even less. All this nearly makes driving impossible.

But if you can drive in those countries, you will develop driving skills like superman and easily drive any car (RHD/LHD) anywhere in the world without any problem.

Re: 15 Most Dangerous Driving Cities

Hmmm... I was thinking of starting an insurance agency there. Maybe not a good idea. But then again, there's always that combination of "fine print" and higher illiteracy rates... like how renter's insurance here often doesn't cover fire or water damage...

Re: 15 Most Dangerous Driving Cities

The good news is that most collisions – about 70% – leave cars drivable. The bad news is that we have a lot of them.

Re: 15 Most Dangerous Driving Cities

All roads are such a dangerous place especially if we are not careful to follow the rules and regulations along the way. So as a lesson, always take extra time to be extremely vigilant.

Re: 15 Most Dangerous Driving Cities

I have a saying that helps keep me safe on the road:
"Assumption, is the mother of all wrecks."

Always look even if you "know" that someone isn't over there... and excercise patience. Wreck, and neither you nor them gets anywhere within a reasonable amount of time.

Re: 15 Most Dangerous Driving Cities

Very interesting that most of the cities are in the south and south west. I was suprised that some of the dangerous cities are not included in the list. Anyways I think what we need is safety especially this coming holiday season. Check some parts of our car if it is working good before we go to our destinations. I found this article while browsing and I think this is timely, here's the link http://roberts.com.ph/blog/5-car-par...day-road-trip/
