94 k2500 axle wire harness

hi,
I recently bought a 1994 Chevy k2500 with the 6.5 and the nv4500. I've been doing nothing but fixing the previous owners "fixes". Im looking for a schematic for the front axle. He cut all the wires off and taped them up and ran a toggle for the front actuator. Next is the glow plug harness. My question with that is the wires were ran against the heat shield and ended up melting. I was wondering if I can cut the wires and use a but connecter to replace the melted sections and use a spade connector to plug into the glow plug. is that going to be an option with the power that runs threw there or do I have to buy a new harness. a new harness is only 100 bucks but I have to do things cheaper because of the farmers "mechanic" skills and have to rebuild transmission, front brakes, rear brakes, rear wheel seals, front differential case half leak, and ect.

thank you for all the help, I have no information on SI and alldatapro didn't help very much either
