No Heat Thermostat change
While not as common reason for the dreaded low heat output problem (see my video series to fix that issue) it should still be looked into and changed during a rusty coolant flush. Here is how it's done for the 12v 3.0l. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the video.
I had sporadic heat/no heat. Change thermostat and flushed the entire cooling system including the heater core. Great heat now. |

Well that's good to hear, sometimes the flush works sometimes it doesn't. Did you use the Ford VC-9 as in my flush video?

I had the flush done at an independent shop in Coolidge Arizona. Last winter.
Was a learning experience. Lots of crud did come out. I have the 3.0 OHV Vulcan engine. Drove it across country twice. No issues. 16 years old. But again. Thanks for posting the videos. All helps in the learning process. I am a visual learner. Other can read and learn. I have to actually view - so much appreciated. |
