Crazy, I can't even take 3 puffs total without tweaking out. When I first started up again 12 years ago (starting when I was 13 and then stopping when I was 14, only to start up again at age 20), I could go non-stop. Now, 2 puffs off of a regularly rolled (thin as a cigarette), and I'm on the verge of a panic attack. Likely due to my poor diet and all the carbonated beverages I drink, that build up gas & indigestion, to the point where I feel like I'm about to have a heart attack when I'm stoned. But I take the good with the bad, and the good is that I don't need much anymore to feel good (bad obviously being paranoia of a heart attack...still worth it).

While I wish I could feel the effects with just a couple puffs, I can also relate to the fear of heart attack thing. its weird cause my heart will be beating rapidly (which is exactly what's sposed to happen, chemically) and I have to spend a good amount of time mentally willing my heart to beat slower. The whole mind over body thing.

That said, I decided that since Im not getting high as easy as I'd like then I should take this next week off... maybe every other week or soemthing since I know cold turkey stoppage just isnt likely

I find it hard to quit without a "real" reason, like kids or a job or something. Last time I stopped was cause I just needed to save $$$. Time before that was cause I was getting tested.. and even then, I was dibbling and dabbling

THC can be a crazy chemical. Sometimes stopping for a while can be bliss, and other times it can be a continued hell. For me, I've quit before, because I had the worry/paranoia of having a heart attack (even though I knew what was going on and told myself that it was in my head and all a physical awareness). Some times I'd quit for 6 months and still retained that same feeling of , and other times I'd quit and simply feel comfort. It really depends on the specific strain that you are using. For me, I'm incredibly lucky; I have a connection who is the "source". I know the strains he is growing, and whether it's an indica or sativa, or rather, whether it's more of a mind or body intoxication. Then being able to sample them with a small or big amount. He produces more Sativa strains (more mental, and physically increased ambition to do things). Unfortunately people generally want indica strains, where they feel it more physically. The Indica strains tend to be a more physical, and tend to flip me out. I realize this is pretty crazy to say, but I actually prefer the stepped on, brown, full of stems & seeds commercial (merch/Arizona/Mexican/Dirt/$20 a zip) stuff over the high priced/high quality stuff. It's what I grew up on at age 13, and what I still love 19 years later. From what a friend has said, even Willie Nelson preferred the buzz of "dirt weed".

I cant go as far as to say I want the dirty brown back in rotation, but I CAN say that ever since around 2010 when high grade, and now medical grade, became readily available to me I was definitely feeling more of a high and more consistently.

I really, honestly think my body is kinda weird in that my tolerance for anything I ingest will raise up pretty quick and it seems to stay there for long while. Its probably a good part mental, but there has to be some chemical truth to it. Ive been smoking (and same with drinking) for too long to not know when Im feeling it or not.

Just lke the other weekend when I had that fender bender while CLEARLY drunk, chemically, but I FELT fine up until I swapped paint like I was at Talladega. Even then, I still felt not drunk, but like a fucking moron who was close to ruining everything

I used to use a lot of Reggie when I was in Texas, but I don't think it even exists here in Oregon. My tollerance is insane... in fact I don't think it even exists, I'll wear out a Bic before I wear our my brain. Usually when I'm at home its every 30 minutes to an hour I'm sucking at the glass tit and never get "there". This is even after laying off for months at a time. Maybe I'm to the point where I need to lay off for years at a time or something.

I never feel like my heart is going to explode or anything, which is good because heart disease runs in my family- and I'm a fatass.

LOOOONNNGGGG time ago I would get to point where I would twitch a lot, maybe I just made it a point to get to that point too much and blew all sorts of receptors in my brain to shit or something.

The main way I can still feel it is by the shit I do like standing up. For some reason if I smoke, even if I dont FEEL it, I'll stand up to watch tv. Been doing that since at least college (cause my friends would tell me to sit my 6'5" ass DOWN already)

Then theres still the hunger.... goddam the endless hunger. I dont get cotton mouth anymore really, maybe a little.

I do still feel like my better creative ideas come when I have the right strain though. The scripts I wrote were largely aided by some chiefing. Not that I cant write without it, but I come up with ideas that have legs more often when I do.

6'5". GodDamn. I'll try standing up more. I also feel like if I'm around people I'd probably feel it more because of interaction with others. However- 99.995% of the time I'm alone.

Ya know, I do remember the last time I shmoked non-solo, it seemed like I felt shit pretty quickly or at least MUCH quicker than whats been the usual. I hadn't thought about the "communal high" effect, I thought it was maybe cause we were smoking a Vega instead of my usual use of Marley. Didn't make much sense seeing as how you get more of the THC with the bawng, but there was a definite difference.

I think studies have shown that good ol' papers deliver the highest amount of THC, but also the highest amount of tars and other bad shit.

I think that just switching different methods have different affects. Not necessarily stronger but different. Like my water pipe is different than my other pipes which are different than rolling, and very different than the vaporizer. Technically I think the vape produces the cleanest most concentrated thc (assuming you have one of the really nice ones, there are tuns of cheap vapes on the market now, all the ones I've tried with metal heating elements do not work well, its more like they just use a coil to burn it instead of heating the air to vaporize it). I have one chillum that makes my lips numb...

My vape is definitely one of the el cheapos. I ordered it from some site for $35 I think and it came with a free plastic grinder (which purees the green better than my metal one)

I'm not sure if the kind with the wooden box *giggles* uses a coil heating element, but a friend of mine has one and his was the first I had ever used and it was great.
