What is the black box called under my 98 oldsmobile aurora drivers seat. How do i get it open?

My 98 aurora is having problems with the power seats and the mirrors don't work aswell. I have the memory seating option. I read somewhere else that this box may be the problem but i can't get it open at all. It has the symbol " >ppe< " If that helps any.

Edit: Picture now included.

Control module for power seat functions, not to opened, this is a non repairable item in the field.

The black box on the frame rail of the seat is the seat heater controller. The black box on the floor is the control for all other seat and mirror functions. As the previous poster said it is not repairable. A u pull it style junk yard is your best option but it has to be out of 1997 or newer.
